The Word of God says in Habakkuk 3:18, “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.” Praising and thanking God can lighten your heaviest burden and put hope in your troubled heart. In the middle of trouble, acknowledging God’ role in our lives can redirect our thinking from the hurts of our hearts, and force us to dwell, instead, on the greatness of God.
God is always constant; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He knows what you are going through or why your heart is troubled. But He wants you to bring all to Him, confide in Him and ask Him for help, so that your heart will be free from torment. He needs you free so that He can use you to touch other lives for His glory.
King David knew trouble; he faced the threats of enemies, the consequences of his own sin and the challenges of sorrow. Yet, he also recognized the healing power of praise. David reminds us that God provides justice and righteousness; and He is gracious and loving. In order to survive the troubles of life, I encourage you to be anchored to the ROCK of AGES and you will never suffer shame.
You will find gladness when you trust in the goodness of God. He has the balm for your spiritual, emotional and physical healing. You will always find comfort in Him is you draw closer to Him always. When you feel that your heart is getting troubled over something, you don’t have to stand alone. You have the right help in God and you can depend on Him to be the greatest ally you could ever know.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, told His disciples twice, “Do not let your hearts be troubled” in John 14:1a and 27b. He laid emphasis on this as He knew they would face some troubled times. He also told them, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” John 14:27a. These are very comforting words from our Saviour and He does not want us to be afraid.
Jesus left His disciples His peace, which no one could take from them. If the world gave you peace today, they would want it back tomorrow. The same peace that Jesus gave His disciples is ours today and this should help us in troubled times. Instead of letting your heart be troubled, rest on this God-kind of peace and know that all is well. This peace will give you the ability to remain calm in spite of any panic.
In life, there will be times of unpleasant circumstances and unavoidable uncertainty, but God wants you to remain calm and lean on Him for help always. In any trouble you may face, let your joy know no bounds. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength and you will feel God’s presence strongly.
Child of God, I encourage you to take everything to God’s throne as He is your greatest Hope. There is no greater help in your time of need than God. He, alone, can carry you through any turbulence that you may be facing at any given time. Let not your heart be troubled. PEACE
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.”
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
