Insecurity is described as a lack of confidence or sureness. It is the state of instability and low self-esteem. When this is evident in someone’s life, they tend to have a very low respect for themselves and no positive opinion whatsoever. They are not even sure of what they are capable of achieving.
This is not the will of God for you as He created you to be secure in HIM. Insecurity does not allow you to settle for anyone who can give you what you are incapable of giving yourself; a sense of worth. Your self-esteem should be built on how God sees you. He created you to be somebody and He wants you to get your security solely from HIM.
God did not create you as junk and He sees you complete and perfect. Let your security be founded on the solid rock of Jesus. Look up to HIM, as He is the Author and Finisher of your faith. If you don’t believe in yourself and respect your own opinions, you finish up living to please everyone else. You will then become worthless and insecure. I pray that this will not be your portion, in Jesus matchless name.
The Word of God says in 1 Peter 5:10, “And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” God wants to give you a sense of self-esteem, based on His own esteem. It is your attitude that will train others to treat you by how you treat yourself. Only God’s opinion about you matters and He sees you as His child, who has got security in life.
Insecurity can lead to inferiority complex, which is expressed by a lack of confidence or exaggerated aggression. When this happens, you feel lower in position, rank, degree or quality. This type of failing does not glorify God and He does not want you to feel this way. The Psalmist says in Psalm 119:141, “ Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.” We need to know that we are worthless without God and we are unable to do what is right by our own strength. Our Heavenly father is the One who gives us the power and direction to live securely on Him.
The bible says in Colossians 1:28, “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” As Christians, we can find our sense of self worth in what Jesus Christ has done for us, not in what other people tell us or in our own achievements.
Christ is the only One who can make us feel worthy and loved. Jesus can bring change to your circumstances and wash away old resentments and hurts. His energy and His power that are at work in our lives make the difference. Child of God, whenever you feel insecure or inferior in any way, remember that you are perfect in God’s sight, because of what Christ has done for you. PEACE
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.”
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
