Surrender Yourself Totally To God’s Control

Posted by admin on Jan 19th, 2011

When you surrender yourself to God’s control, you relinquish or give up any power and yield yourself totally to the Almighty God. You also allow your desires and attitudes to be challenged, and over-ruled by God. Total surrendering is saying, “Yes Lord” to whatever He asks you to do.

Surrendered people obey God, even when it does not make sense to them and other people around them. You will get fantastic results when you decide to surrender totally to God, for His glory. When you let go and let God, you know you are totally yielded to God.

Also, when you put your own agenda aside and focus on God’s agenda, you are in the right road for total surrender. The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those who are fully surrendered to HIM. When we turn our prayers in the direction of surrender rather than defence, God will strengthen us in that attitude.

Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Mark 16:24, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross.” We need to crucify our ego daily and let God be in the driver’s seat of our life. Independence is the desire to be significant on our own terms, and this does not glorify God. We must come to the place where we realise that we can’t take one breath or accomplish anything, without God.

There is something within each of us that longs to be in charge of our lives. But true freedom comes when we allow Jesus Christ to rule our hearts. When we do this, we act in humility towards God and bid Him rule and reign over us completely. When Christ rules in our heart, our feet will walk in His ways, and not our ways.

If you intend to surrender totally to God, you have to let HIM lead you all the way, and allow HIM to take pre-eminence in everything you do. Jesus Christ surrendered totally to His Heavenly Father when He went through floggings, insults and a painful death on the cross, for the sin of mankind. He said in Mark 14:36, “Abba Father, everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet, not what I will, but what you will.” Jesus recognized that His Heavenly Father was in full control and He decided to surrender to the Father’s will.

What an awesome thing to do and a great example to all of us! When you decide to let God’s will be done in your life, He will be with you all the way. You may not understand it, but God always knows the end from the beginning. When your decide to hold things loosely, God will reign in your life, without a rival.

Child of God, I encourage to surrender totally to God in all that you do. We cannot do anything in our own strength but when we surrender to God, He will definitely lead us and be the driver of our life. You have nothing to lose, but everything to gain, when you have this attitude of total surrender.     PEACE

Total Submission Is The Key

Posted by admin on Dec 16th, 2009

The act of submission is total surrender to another person or something. It also involves yielding to them all the time. When you submit to someone, you fully surrender to him or her.

The bible says in Job 22:21-22, “Submit to God and be at peace with Him; in this way, prosperity will come to you. Accept instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart”. Submission brings peace of mind because you know you are under God’s leadership. When you refuse to submit, pride sets in and this does not glorify God.

The Word of God says in 1 Peter 5:5, “Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”. Humility plays a big part in submission and it makes you focus totally.

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature of God, did not consider equality with God, something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross!” Philippians 2:5-8.

God wants you to “submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by Him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right”. 1 Peter 2:13-14. When you submit to those in authority, you are, in effect, submitting to God, because He puts those people in the position of authority.

In your work place, you are required to submit to your boss and follow their instructions to the letter. Once you submit to them, you are honouring God and His name will be glorified. Always remember that God is your Employer and not the physical boss you see every day. It is God who provided your job for you and He gives you strength to do it.

Submission to the leaders in your church is of paramount importance. God’s instruction is to “obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you”. Hebrews 13:17

If you submit yourself to God, you will have the strength to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Total submission is the key to fulfilling your God-given vision. When you are under God’s authority, He will direct your path and you will never go wrong.

His Word tells us in Ephesians 5:21-24, “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, His body, of which He is the Saviour. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything”.

When you submit to your husband, then automatically, you are submitting to God. Your husband then submits to God, who is the Spiritual Head of the marriage. Submission is the order of the day for a fulfilled and happy marriage and God’s name will be glorified in it.

In the secular world, all drivers have to submit to the traffic lights on the roads. It is not a suggestion; it is a command that you submit to those lights. If you refuse to do this, then the consequences will be great; there will be an accident!  And you will regret it for a very long time.

If you could submit to traffic lights, how much more submitting to the Almighty God! Child of God, I encourage you to submit to God in everything that you do and blessings will pursue you.  Total submission is the key to your breakthrough and fruitfulness.  PEACE.
